Metropolitan Cycle Network in Athens

This project describes the biggest cycling vision in Greece, the development of a metropolitan cycling network in Attica region (the administrative region which contains Athens).

It is unknown how long it will take to be realized, if ever.
It aims at connecting the main centralities throughout the city and will cover 226 km in two phases consisting of 36 fast lane routes. Those are expected to serve respectively all the main aspects of modern urban life;

The project was conducted by the Sustainable Mobility Unit of NTUA and Podilates group(cyclists).
